Dress up your canoe and make it safer by adding a pair of these sponsons. The sponsons are by Radisson and the choice of hardware is by Sailboats To Go. Benefits of sponsons: Greater stability, greater buoyancy (floatation), nice looking and they act as boat bumpers when you come up to a dock or another canoe. Some people report success attaching with epoxy glue after buying the "no hardware" version, but we do not provide instructions or guarantee success with glue. Attaching with either our plated bolts set or our stainless steel bolt set is easy. We provide 14 bolts and nuts and 28 large washers. The bolts are pretty skinny -- #10 bolt size -- so you just drill small holes to attach. The holes are above the water line, so it is not necessary to seal them, but you could silicone caulk them.
