The Petzl EXPLO is a high-performance shoulder strap system designed to position the CROLL ventral ascender while adding critical storage for caving gear.
Unlike simple strap systems, the EXPLO features an X-shaped dorsal construction that stays perfectly positioned on the shoulders without slipping. This design ensures your CROLL ascender is held upright and under proper tension, maximizing the efficiency of every upward glide during rope ascents.
Built for the gear-intensive nature of exploration, each shoulder strap is equipped with two high-strength HMPE gear loops and two slots for racking bolts, hangers, wrenches, or a PULSE anchor. The chest strap allows for instant, precise adjustment of the tension on the CROLL using a quick-release buckle. Durability is reinforced with a TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) rear crossover that resists abrasion against the cave roof.
