The 40 series ZS44/ZS56 headset is a top-tier, all-alloy assembly we've put through its paces. The 6061 T-6 alloy crown races fit snugly into the zero-stack headtube, the bearings are exceptionally smooth and well-sealed, and even the cover and top-cap are made of alloy (no plastic here).
